US elections and the Democrat Party in decline? Linn Stalsberg & Jette Christensen
Is it enough now? Are we losing faith in democracy? Where do young people go now? Many fear that we are approaching the end of the era when political participation is important. Just days before the US presidential election, sociologist and author Linn Stalsberg and politician and author Jette F Christensen meet for a conversation about the scariest, but perhaps the most prominent issues of our time.
Linn Stalsberg (1971) is a sociologist and author. Her books include "Am I free now? Time crunch in the world's best country" (2013), "Enough is enough. How neoliberalism is destroying people and nature" (2019) and "After the pandemic. Thoughts on crisis, capitalism and a new everyday life".
Jette F. Christensen is a political scientist, former member of parliament and has worked with leadership recruitment. She is currently a member of the National Election Board and a European analyst at Altinget. She is currently writing the book "Democracy, it's us - 10 vulnerabilities in the world's best democracy". Democratic decline is Jette's field of expertise and she is a sought-after speaker, interviewer and discussion leader on topics such as democracy, electoral influence, corruption, populism and foreign policy. Jette has a master's degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen, and has attended the Norwegian Defense University College's leadership course and course on strategic crisis management. Her professional knowledge and practical experience of international politics, coupled with her engaging style of communication, leaves the audience a little wiser and with a smile.
