If you download the app Guide to Go (or Voice of Norway, as it was previously known) and select Ibsenbyen Skien, you are ready for a historical walk in Henrik Ibsen's birthplace.
With the Guide To Go app on your phone or tablet, you can experience Henrik Ibsen's Skien as you wander around the city. The app shows you pictures and texts and lets you hear stories about the many Ibsen places. The app takes you to twenty different places in Skien. GPS signals tell the app where you are in the city and the story starts automatically when you approach the location.
Feel free to start your walk at Handelstorget. At the top of the square is Telemarksgata 12, which is where Stockmanngården was located. Henrik Ibsen was born here on March 20, 1828.
