On March 20, the first edition of Ibsenmagasinet was launched – a brand new magazine that highlights the importance of Henrik Ibsen, the role of Skien and the preparations for the great 200th anniversary in 2028.
The city is getting ready for a historic cultural boost as our world-famous playwright is celebrated locally, nationally and internationally. The opening of the anniversary year is set for Ibsen's birthday on March 20 in his hometown of Skien.
In the first issue of the magazine, readers can gain insight into how various cultural institutions are preparing for the anniversary in 2028.
The magazine is published by the Ibsen Association in collaboration with several contributors, and the publication is supported by the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce Support Fund and the Municipality of Skien.
The Ibsen magazine is available for purchase at Nordli Arkaden, Ibsenhuset , Telemark Museum, Teater Ibsen, the Cultural Office in Skien and the Service Office in Skien. In Oslo you can find it at the Ibsen Museum and Galleri Dobloug.
