Skien Municipality invites cultural actors in Skien and Telemark to a networking meeting on November 16. The goal is to gather ideas, build collaborations and develop content for the national Ibsen anniversary in 2028.

In 2028, it will be 200 years since Henrik Ibsen was born in Skien. Skien Municipality is responsible for the opening of the national anniversary, and work on shaping the program for the anniversary year and the years that follow is already underway.
On Monday, November 16, the municipality invites cultural actors in Skien and Telemark to a networking meeting in Skien. Here, participants will receive an update on the anniversary work, present their own ideas, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
From ideas to collaboration
The evening will be opened by the cultural director, before the project manager provides a status of the anniversary and plans for 2028. Teater Ibsen, Telemark Museum and Visit Telemark will also contribute with presentations.
A selection of cultural actors are then given five minutes each to present an idea or project. The gathering ends with a joint conversation about what needs to be in place to realize the plans, including in terms of venues, collaboration and resources.
