The Ibsen Association presents Henrik Bøe Larsen and his lecture "Scheen Theaterselskab - a light in the city center". Henrik has worked as an actor and director for almost 20 years and, like many performing artists from Skien, has had his main work far beyond the city limits. He has been involved as a playwright and director for, among other things, the Romeriksspillene at Blaker and the Maridalsspillet in Oslo. In recent years, he has, together with his wife with the same background, looked at the living conditions for the performing artist in Skien. Is this a place to establish yourself, or is it just to forget? Together they have started Scheen Theaterselskab precisely to explore this. Can the performing arts be given room to play in Skien City, and can we provide jobs for professional performing artists. Here. In this city that we love.
