In collaboration with the Ibsen Association, we are pleased to present a powerful performance inspired by Henrik Ibsen's world-famous play. The critically acclaimed company Plexus Polaire shows you a new twist on the classic using puppet theater, people, music and video projections. In this performance with one female and one male actor/puppeteer, we are in a house haunted by life-sized dolls. Here you are invited to a visual transformative journey beneath the surface. The main character, Nora, experiences a collision with her own reality, like a bird hitting invisible glass. Through the performance, the old house is explored, filled with ghosts that still affect us today. "A Doll's House" as puppet theater is an extremely sensual, terrifyingly exciting and highly understandable variation of Ibsen's classic. - NRK The play provides an opportunity to reflect on who we are, what choices we make, and how we shape our own illusions. It is not just a performance, but an invitation to dive into your own life and explore your own choices. Plexus Polaire is one of the world's most renowned puppet theatre companies and the talk of the town at every performing arts festival. The award-winning and critically acclaimed company delves deep into literary works, taking stories apart and putting them back together with new perspectives and approaches. Artistic director, Yngvild Aspeli, explores works and characters with an intensity and empathy that resonates with both us and the stories she tells.
