It has been over 160 years since Ibsen wrote Terje Vigen. A time when people in Norway suffered from international conflicts, and poverty and hunger were part of everyday life. The story of a man's desperate fight for his family, his encounter with superior power and the deep conflict between revenge and reconciliation, resonates strongly in our time. The poem is still relevant and addresses themes such as willingness to take risks to take care of those closest to him, revenge and reconciliation. Our Terje Vigen is a performance with actor Hans Jacob Sand and musician Symre Taugbøl Bang. In their version of Terje Vigen, Symre has created music that serves as the basis for Ibsen's epic poem. In this performance, the electric guitar is Symre's chosen instrument. Hans Jacob gives us all 43 verses and the performance lasts approx. 35 - 40 min.
